From Nov. 2 to Nov. 3, the 41st International Seminar and Exhibition on Electromagnetic Measurement Technology, Standards and Products was held in Dongguan. At the seminar, project manager Lin Ziqian said that EVE’s patented product lithium-ion battery capacitors can effectively maintain the functions of the new generation of smart meters such as clock operation, power failure reporting and LCD display. According to market application experience and test data, EVE’s battery capacitors can meet the life requirement of 16 years and above.
More than 180 million battery capacitors are operating stably
EVE's innovative patented technology--battery capacitor is a new type of energy storage device between chemical capacitor and lithium-ion battery. It combines the high power characteristics of capacitors and the high energy characteristics of lithium batteries. It also has fast charge and discharge characteristics, wider environmental adaptability and long life. It can support NB-IoT and drive the interconnection of everything.
With this technological innovation, EVE won “China Patent Excellent Award” and the “Guangdong Science and Technology Award”. At present, more than 180 million battery capacitors are in stable operation.
Comprehensive reliability design and control
In order to meet the application needs of 16 years of service life, EVE’s battery capacitors are designed and controlled with high standards in terms of development, manufacturing and quality.
First, the requirements of long storage and working life are considered in the design of product chemical material system and structure. Second, in terms of manufacturing technology, through self-made key precision equipment, the entire process is automated to ensure stable quality and product consistency. Third, in terms of quality control, the entire manufacturing process has more than 2,000 quality control points, key processes reach class-100 air cleanliness, and the two-dimensional code traceability system can query the inspection data of each product.
EVE’s battery capacitors have 10-year practical experience on ETC. Compared with meter applications, ETC applications have similar standby conditions and working modes but the environmental temperature of ETC applications is more severe. The test data shows that EVE’s battery capacitors can meet the application requirements for 16 years.
